As Vogue editors, we often wax poetic on the latest runway must-haves, but not every item we gush about on this website ultimately ends up in our closets. Our discoveries are nice to behold—they’re lovely to look at and inspire fun conversation—however, of all the tempting things to buy, what did we actually end up purchasing? Each month we’ll highlight those special finds our editors welcomed into their lives—all the things that made us buyers rejoice.
The Marie Antoinette Heel
“I’m obsessed with the Manolo Blahnik x Marie Antoinette collection, especially after seeing them on Julia Garner at Vogue World Hollywood! I can’t wait to step out in mine!” —Chloe Malle, head of editorial content
“This month, I finally pulled the trigger on a pair of classic black loafers. Plus, I found this fabulous pair of second-hand grey Toteme trousers on The RealReal that I wore for a project earlier this year. They are the perfect length, have excellent pleats, sit low on my hips, and have a really nice weight to them. I’ve gotten so many compliments on them already and can’t stop wearing them. ” —Madeline Fass, associate fashion director
The Pointelle Pieces
“I recently tried on some of Leset’s pointelle pieces and didn’t want to take them off! The cotton is soft and lightweight, and the pants are perfectly cropped—I’m already planning to get them in brown next. With a long black coat, I’m making this my new weekend uniform.” —Talia Abbas, associate shopping director
The Elevated Loungewear
“In October, I looked for pieces that felt both cozy and elevated—the kind that make you feel dressed even when your plans involve nothing more than a couch, a cup of tea, and a Scandal rewatch. Leset’s V-neck sweater and Charlie Bead’s ’99 Baby tee have became my unofficial uniform for the weekend, together it’s a look that’s soft enough for lounging yet polished enough to look pulled together on a last-minute coffee run.” —Minty Mellon, market editor, Vogue Shopping
The Royal Blue Sneaker
“I haven’t bought myself a new pair of sneakers in a while, so I decided to get a pair of sleek Adidas Japans. They’re so streamlined and comfortable—no breaking in required. I’m already seriously considering sprinting for another pair.” —Hannah Jackson, fashion writer, Vogue.com
The Cashmere & Silk Finds
“I might be the last person in the world to own Intimissimi’s boat neck cashmere top, but the rumors are true: It’s soft, stretchy, and perfect for layering. I also love the brand’s black silk shorts, which I’m wearing with tights and knee-high boots on nights out as New York slowly descends into winter. Speaking of, J. Crew’s cashmere poncho is another great layering piece, and I’m making the most of these butter yellow satin flats before it’s officially too cold to wear them and one risks the loss of a toe to frostbite.” —Elly Leavitt, lifestyle editor, shopping
The Reliable Separates
“I first saw The Frankie Shop’s Cedar shorts in its Marais boutique during PFW, and couldn’t stop thinking about them, so once back in NYC I made my way to Soho store and bought them immediately. I love a Bermuda short in the fall because when worn with a boot, they make for an excellent pant substitute. With its tailored, yet relaxed fit, made from a lightweight woven fabric, these can be dressed up or down. The same day, I popped into the J.Crew store across the street and found the Étienne button-up that’s perfectly oversized.” —Kiana Murden, senior beauty commerce writer
The French-Girl Block Heels
“I’m in an era of my life where I’m all about prioritizing comfort, so the concept of me wearing a heel to the office is of a bygone era. Though, Margaux has changed that for me. The Ada pumps are perfectly comfortable, and chic for everyday wear—a moderate block heel, cushioned soles, and sharp square toes. Dare I say, they’re very French cool-girl.” —Concetta Ciarlo, beauty commerce writer
The Closet Reset
“I am a broken record in saying that I’ve been on a long journey to reset my wardrobe. It has been quite the process, but I feel like I made notable progress in October! This Leset maxi dress is made of the softest, most comfortable fabric, yet is so sleek and easy to elevate with some simple styling. I also picked up a pair of jeans from Buck Mason’s newest denim collection. They have just the right weight to them, they sit perfectly on my waist, and I love their relaxed, wide-leg fit. Last but certainly not least, I splurged on a pair of black suede Prada boots. I’m confident that they will become a closet staple! I’m planning to wear them around the city and to the office… infinite styling opportunities await!” —Alexandra Ditch, associate commerce producer
The Refined Essentials
“The change in seasons has me restocking on fall basics. Like everyone, I’ve been hearing so many great things about Gap right now, and managed to get my hands on their often sold-out low rise ’90s loose jeans (yay for petite sizing!), as well as one of their much raved-about 100% cotton pullovers. Another recent acquisition I’ve been loving is this V-neck by Perfectwhitetee that is… well, perfect. The neckline elevates my go-to jeans, T-shirt, and ballet flats combo with ease. And this B-Low The Belt piece has also added a welcome western touch to my fall looks.” —Fred Sahai, associate commerce producer
The Ruffled Shoulder Bag
“I was in the market for an ‘everything’ bag that could fit my laptop, hold my pilates workout set, and still be effortlessly cute—and I found my answer with Baggu x Molly Goddard’s collection. I’ve been happily surprised by how much the bag can hold while still being so comfortable and easy to take on my work commute!” —Carolina Gonzalez, associate manager, social media
The Autumnal Birthday Haul
“October is my birthday month which presents a dangerous combination of my itch to shop as the weather gets colder, while also being in a mindset of ‘treating myself.’ Two perfect fall pieces that entered my wardrobe are these stunning brown silk pants from Vince, and, after deciding it was finally time to get my own oversized sweater instead of always stealing my boyfriend’s, this beautiful button-up knit from the men’s section. My Spicy Dan necklace is one of the most complimented pieces of jewelry I own, so I was so excited when I saw that they came out with this double layered brown version—the perfect item to jazz up a sweater and jeans outfit. I also finally bought myself the little leopard-print pouch bag from Liffner that I had been eyeing for months (it was an added bonus that leopard-print seems to be everywear this season!)” —Florence O’Connor, associate content manager
The Versatile Tee
“I am a little biased because Liana Satenstein is one of my closest friends, but she really did her thing with this exclusive Neverworns collaboration with LA-based designer Cleo. I already have this shirt in black (which, by the way, has been worn by all of LA’s It girls, including Devon Lee Carlson). It’s beloved for a reason. It features a low-scoop neckline on one side, and a higher bateau neckline on the other side, so that you can really get the best of both worlds and take it from day to night. But the reason I love this shirt most, is because of its unique color—it’s a perfect pool blue. The first night I wore it out, the compliments came flooding in. Seriously, I’ve never been so complimented before in my life. I’m about to purchase a backup shirt in the same color, so that I can ensure that I have it for the rest of my life.” —Irene Kim, production and editorial associate

The Autumnal Textures
“The pregnancy exhaustion has caught up with me—although I’m out of the first trimester and fully in the third, the drain (yet all-day excitement) can be tiring! It’s the exact reason why I’m leaning into ease for the fall season. Loose, easy-to-pair dresses, comfortable flats (like loafers, and ballerinas), and carryall bags that can fit my laptop and an emergency snack.” —Cortne Bonilla, senior shopping writer
The Cool-Girl Sandal
“I bought these Jil Sander heels for NYFW while it was still warm, and I actually needed a cool, alternative evening sandal.” —Libby Page, executive director, Vogue Shopping
The Cozy Separates
“Shifting into fall, I’m gravitating toward cozy, soft, and polished separates that bring an autumnal touch to any outfit. With cooler days ahead, comfort is key–whether it’s curling up with a favorite movie or layering for a crisp afternoon. Now feels like the perfect time to invest in timeless pieces that balance warmth and style: think cashmere staples, elevated loungewear, and modern essentials that easily refresh a fall wardrobe.” —Minty Mellon, market editor, Vogue Shopping
The Transitional Wardrobe Staples
“With the start of fall, I knew it was time to refresh some closet staples. I have been on the hunt for a pair of high-waisted ecru jeans, and finally landed on these ones by Toteme. There is something I love about creamy white trousers paired with a cozy knit. I also got a pair of black almond-shaped flats, because you could never have enough flats.” —Andrea Zendejas, fashion market editor, Vogue Shopping
The Joyful Statement Pieces
“With the state of the world as heavy as it is, I’m only interested in pieces that spark extreme joy. A pencil skirt embroidered with crystal bows and flowers? Yes. A pair of riding boots in buttery, plum leather? Absolutely. Flowery pearl drop earrings and a knit top festooned with a fun, colorful mix of buttons? Sign. Me. Up!” —Leah Faye Cooper, digital style director
The Cashmere Poncho
“I bought this black cashmere poncho during J. Crew’s Labor Day sale and I’m so glad I did. It’s low-maintenance, chic, and makes for a great layering piece.” —Hannah Jackson, fashion writer, Vogue.com
The Basics Refresh
“This September I stocked up on the basics. I picked up a new stripy t-shirt from the Madewell x Dakota Fanning collab, and I am obsessed—it’s a fun alternative to my usual plain white tee and I think it really elevates my weekend uniform of jeans and a t-shirt. I also realized I was missing a classic chunky gold earring in my collection and this Jenny Bird pair (named the ‘Florence’—it was meant to be!) perfectly filled the gap. Finally, I decided it was time to swap over my after-work walking outfit from biker shorts to long pants as the weather starts to cool down and this Form set has become my new go-to.” —Florence O’Connor, associate content manager, Vogue.com
The Marie Antoinette Kitten-Heel
“I bought the Merode mules from Manolo Blahnik’s Marie Antoinette capsule because I couldn’t resist a slice of Rococo fantasy. The collection revisits Blahnik’s designs for Sofia Coppola’s film and ties into the V&A’s new exhibition, making each pair feel like a collectible moment in fashion history—plus, those silk rosettes are irresistible.” —Lilah Ramzi-Goettemann, editor
The Dependable Basics
“I went to a tarot reader at the Gwyn presentation during NYFW who recommended that I stick with wearing neutral colors and clothes to protect my energy… I did a lot of shopping after that conversation for some more basic wardrobe essentials. Rag & Bone make some of my favorite high-quality denim and Chief Merchandising and Design Officer, Jennie McCormick seems to always be wearing the Saige jean in the Echo shade whenever I’m visiting the offices. The wash is so great and the fit is just absolutely perfect. The brand’s jeans run true to size no matter the size, making it easy to purchase online! They also pair well with my favorite new t-shirt—a boat neck tee from Cos, which is also affordably priced. I just need Cos to make it in white and black and my everyday wardrobe will be set! I’m also super into anklets these days, and while I’ve been wearing my Jenny Bird anklet all summer long, I did also upgrade to a Chan Luu anklet with a smoky quartz stone.” —Irene Kim, production and editorial associate
The Upgraded Pajama Set
“As I step into my 30s, I decided it was time to upgrade my pajama game, and I randomly picked up a pair of Skims pajamas at Nordstrom in my hometown —and honestly, I haven’t taken them off since. They’re ridiculously cozy, and now I’m slowly collecting every color. Next on my wishlist: the long robe in the same dreamy fabric. I’ve officially upgraded all my old pajama (made up of band tees), and suddenly, I feel like a real adult… one who naps in style.” —Sache Taylor, director, special events
The Off-Duty Uniform
“I love the timeless sneakers-and-trousers combo. Inspired by the model-off-duty looks spotted during fashion month, I felt it was time to refresh my own go-to uniform. I recently picked up these Salomon sneakers and a pair of barrel-leg trousers from Massimo Dutti, the perfect effortless outfit to throw on for a day in the city.” —Kasey Busiel, marketing & production manager, commerce
The Comfortable Loafer
“These loafers are probably the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever put on my feet. Not only are they the most perfect (and on-trend) addition to my fall wardrobe, but I truly could walk miles in them without a problem.” —Carolina Gonzalez, associate manager, social media
The Vintage-Inspired Dresses
“The Dôen obsession continues! I’m preparing for a (very relaxed) bachelorette weekend in the finger lakes, and I’ve turned to Dôen for its luxurious materials and sweet silhouettes. These dresses are made of 100% silk and, although very different from each other, both are vintage-inspired and perfectly fit the bill.” —Alexandra Ditch, associate commerce producer
The CBK-Inspired Hair Accessories
“Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy is one of my style muses always, but especially when the colder weather comes around. In preparation for windier days ahead, I stopped at C.O. Bigelow (which I’ve heard is where she got her headbands), and grabbed a few for myself. My favorite is the tortoiseshell one, because I think it adds a touch of texture to a simple outfit like a sweater and jeans. I also picked up some extra barrettes and hair clips because—as I’m sure anyone who’s ever stepped into C.O. Bigelow can relate to—I couldn’t help myself!” —Fred Sahai, associate commerce producer
The Finishing Touches
“Summer may be over, but my sunglasses obsession is not. Enter the Thierry Lasry Clandesty frames: oversized, bold, and effortlessly chic for fall. They’re the kind of accessory that can turn any outfit into a moment—proof that a great pair of shades is never out of season.
Clearly, September was all about accessories for me. These Luv Aj Formentera Studs are my go-to statement earrings. I wore them during New York Fashion Week and received so many compliments! The hammered mixed-metal design adds just the right amount of edge, whether you’re dressing up for a night out or keeping it casual with a baseball cap and jeans. They have a way of making every look feel a little more special.” —Molly Barstein, associate manager, audience development
The Romantic Silhouettes
“I’m not saying you should channel your end-of-summer blues into fall shopping for sport… that’s just what helped me. Some of the spoils of my retail therapy include a romantic double-layer skirt from Vince, the sweetest polka dot set from Rat Boi, and a pair of bloomer pants from Free People that I can’t wait to style.” —Sam Ravin, community manager, Vogue app

The Transitional Staples
“I am looking forward to fall, thinking about what to wear to NYFW, and dipping my toe in with transitional knitwear. I love the lightweight touch of this Toteme style, and butter yellow lets me hold on to summer. It also walked the runway, so it feels like a special piece.
I guess I have a thing for Toteme this month, because I also bought these sneakers (whoops!). I love a black sneaker. It feels chic and elevated, and canvas styles have been on my mind all summer. We featured them in white, but the black are more me and I know I’ll wear them all winter long!” —Libby Page, executive director, Vogue Shopping
The Comfortable Neutrals
“I’ve finally hit the six-month pregnancy mark! While I’m thrilled for my little baby, my belly is not so little anymore. I’ve been on the hunt for loose, but chic, pieces that can be worn low-rise and high-rise without discomfort. Balloon pants have become my go-to, and now that the weather is getting cooler, so has a lightweight knitted sweater.” —Cortne Bonilla, senior shopping writer
The Autumnal Tones
“Although I am not yet ready to say goodbye to summer, all of the autumnal colors and pieces filling the New Arrivals pages are definitely helping to ease the pain. I picked up this perfect dress from Dôen at their Sag Harbor store a few weeks ago, which I am so excited to style during the transitional months. I also bought these beautiful wine-colored Reformation heels to wear to a wedding I have coming up in Ojai, California, later in September.” —Florence O’Connor, associate content manager, Vogue.com
The Suede Hobo Bag
“I’m getting ahead of fall trends—perhaps it’s wishful thinking, as I dream of New York commutes with a light breeze rather than sweltering heat. Atop the list is my new gorgeous slouchy suede hobo bag (while I have it in chocolate brown, sand is just as chic). Though, I also shove my laptop into it, transforming this shoulder bag into a more structured look. Gotta love a bag that can do both!” —Concetta Ciarlo, beauty commerce writer
The Reliable Summer Favorites
“I’m tapping into my forever likes: Skater jeans! Charms! Strappy tops! A bag big enough to fit an entire vase of flowers for my walk home! Our fashion news king José Criales-Unzueta was kind enough to share this raffia Ami Paris tote with me as a fellow summer birthday royal, and it makes me feel like a cool French girl with a basket—without the bulk—paired with anything. Like a little Azeeza poplin top (she knows I love a square neck) and white-stitched black JNCOs (my favorite pant these days). And if I need a little flare I’m loving the Chinese beauty brand Flower Knows for makeup accessories to hang on everything—treasures untold!” —Arden Fanning Andrews, beauty editor at large
The Trending Flat-Soles
“Tory Burch came out with the chicest sneakers for fall and their new Field sneaker will be my go-to comfy shoe. It has a really thin sole which is super chic and gives it that elevated fashion touch. Our office also loves their studded ballerina flats but my preference is the mule. It feels like I’m wearing slippers whenever I wear them!” —Irene Kim, production and editorial associate
The Nostalgic Summer Uniform
“I’ve been looking for the perfect low-waisted, cut-off denim mini skirt all summer and took a chance on one that seemed to check all by boxes on Depop. Since it arrived, it’s gotten difficult not to wear it every day. It’s been an essential part of my summer uniform, along with a graphic tee (usually one from my collection of Snoopy merch) and heeled ballet slippers. My specific skirt is vintage Gap, but this Re/Done one comes pretty close to it.” —Fred Sahai, associate commerce producer
The Wardrobe Essentials
“All summer I was pining for a boxy white t-shirt and a cropped jean, so this month, I finally bought a boxy white t-shirt and a cropped jean! Inspired by Vogue’s associate shopping director Talia Abbas’s quest for the perfect petite jeans, I picked up the Levi’s 501 that hit perfectly at my ankle. As for the tee, The Frankie Shop always has a well-fitted option on hand—made from a lightweight cotton and crewneck, it’s exactly what I needed.” —Kiana Murden, senior beauty commerce writer
The Accessories Upgrade
“This August, my wardrobe needed a major accessories upgrade. I felt drawn to pieces that emphasized materiality and design, something that could easily elevate any outfit from day to night. These four accessories have become my go-to rotation, transforming even the simplest of outfits into chic looks with an unexpected twist.” —Minty Mellon, market editor, Vogue Shopping
The Linen Mini Dresses
“Long live summer! I was inspired by my trip to Southern France to pick up these linen mini dresses from Posse. These are my new favorite pieces, and I now feel the urge to buy everything that Posse creates. Come fall, I will be styling these with long-sleeve shirts underneath, to extend their season for as long as possible.” —Alexandra Ditch, associate commerce producer
The Camo Crocs
“I bought the Realtree camo Crocs as a very belated gift for a dear friend, then elevated them with pink gibbets and her initials—camouflage chic. They are essentially overpriced rubber hunting shoes, but are now reborn as one-of-a-kind. Too much money spent, but plenty of humor gained!” —Sache Taylor, director, special events
The Post-Labor Day Whites
“I was a little late on my summer wardrobe updates this year, so let it be known, I will be wearing white after Labor Day! I recently picked up a fabulous pair of wide-leg lace pants from Dissh that pairs stunningly with this longline bandeau top.” —Sam Ravin, community manager, Vogue app
