A man stayed in the ‘cheapest Airbnb in the world’ – which costs just £1.75 per night.
Nacho Barrueco pre-booked the property ahead of his trip to Bangkok, Thailand.
He said he was hooked because of the price.
When he arrived, the owner of the Airbnb showed him round. At first, Nacho’s thoughts about the lodgings were far from glowing.
Rubbish bags beside the hut-like dwelling and a wobbly ladder leading up to the room weren’t encouraging indicators.
However, Nacho, 26, remained and was delighted with his quarters after he climbed the ‘dangerous’ ladder to reach them.
The ex-teacher turned travel influencer shared a video of his experience on his Instagram account @nachobarrueco_, saying: ‘I just had to do it.
‘I’m going to sleep in the cheapest place in the world.’

Despite the unconventional method of reaching his new Airbnb, Nacho remarked: ‘Well, well, well, wonderful. Private room, mosquito net, fan, lots of scent.’
There were notices dotted about the room warning against treading on particular sections of the floor as they would collapse through the planks.
Apart from a possible fall, the quarters themselves were quite pleasant, though Nacho did observe the potential harm that accompanied the room.
He then visited the outside kitchen and ‘gym’, a simple squat stand next to a sack trolley and a single dumbbell.
He said: ‘We’ve done enough crazy things for today, I think.’
Nacho, who comes from Madrid, Spain, shared the clip on social media where it racked up hundreds of comments.
He told What’s The Jam: ‘The price varied depending on the room, in total I paid £3.50 (€4) for two nights, which is equivalent to £1.75 (€2) per night.
He added: ‘I was quite struck by the modest nature of the neighbourhood and the accommodations on offer.’

Fans were quick to take to the comments to share their thoughts on Nacho’s stay.
One commended the Airbnb host, stating: ‘The fact they printed your name and laminated it is incredible, not even in the best hotels do that!’
Locals were equally taken aback by the room rate, with those residing in Nacho’s home city of Madrid preparing themselves for £170 per night stays.
One remarked: ‘In Madrid, they charge you €200 a night.’
