The Vogue World 2025: Hollywood show is just a few days away, with a scheduled roll call on Sunday—but the fashion fun is already in full swing. On Thursday evening, mere hours after a cohort of top models arrived to L.A. on Vogue Air for the event, an energized group of runway regulars joined Vogue editors, photographers, hair and makeup artists, stylists, and more for an intimate cocktail bash hosted at the Lumière brasserie inside the Fairmont Century Plaza hotel.
As DJ Erez spun their best dance tracks for the well-clad crowd, guests mingled about while sipping bubbles from the Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne tower….when in Hollywood! Over at the bar, the craft cocktails were also flowing, including special offerings like Final Cut mezcal margaritas, Unscripted strawberry bourbon concoctions, and golden martinis shaken with Seventy One gin—founded by top fashion photographer Mert Alas, of course. Petite sliders, mini-portioned fries, and a gargantuan charcuterie spread were keeping everyone satiated, but this is Hollywood after all, so a little bit of lavish excess also crept in via the Caviar Petrossian Paris tastings, which one could enjoy while you awaited your next drink. (Our favorite? The extra briney, dirty martini-adjacent tub.)
The guest list included front-facing and behind-the-scenes names alike, all of whom make the fashion industry run—and all of whom will be on-sight come Vogue World on Sunday. All eyes were on the catwalk stars which included models such as Colin Jones, Imaan Hammam, Stella Hanan, and Luiza Perote, who showed up in their stylish and inimitable off-duty looks. As familiar faces mixed and mingled, you could catch sight of models sneaking off to various discrete corner tables for a break to gab and giggle—a luxury they are so rarely afforded during their crazy schedules during Fashion Month.
And this was all just night one of Vogue World weekend. With plenty of rehearsals and fittings to go before Sunday, the kick-off party served as the official calm before the storm. And what better way to prepare for chaos than with a glamorous soirée?
