On a cool, sun-drenched Friday morning in Los Angeles, I made my way to the Ralph Lauren store on Rodeo Drive—a landmark in its own right as the brand’s first standalone boutique which opened in 1971. Located along the iconic stretch that houses every luxury brand name imaginable, the store feels right at home beneath its grand blue awning and stately entryway. Step inside, and you’re instantly transported into a world of modern prep—Ralph Lauren’s colorful universe of heritage elegance reimagined for a contemporary lifestyle.

A longtime fan of the brand, I couldn’t wait to explore the new Polo Ralph Lauren collection. Founded in 1967 by Mr. Lauren, the brand has cemented itself pillar of American style—now celebrating its tenth nomination for the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award.
Inside, I was greeted by an array of textures and autumnal tones—punctuated by playful pops of color, and of course, Ralph’s signature leather goods and accessories. After being escorted to the back of the store, I settled into a tonal, softly-lit fitting room. What I found was a dream wardrobe: tailored shirts that add crisp structure to daily denim; a fringed jacket and buckled belts that possessed the lived-in charm of the outdoors; and cozy knits in a spectrum of hues, all begging to be be layered.
Here, take a look inside my fitting room favorites.
Cozy Knits
It wouldn’t be a Polo haul without spotlighting their signature cashmere knits. This season, the brand unveiled an expanded range of ready-to-wear and accessories in their iconic cable knit—think jackets, hats, and gloves that make for an indulgent, cozy haven for knit lovers. I love mixing and matching unexpected colors to give this heritage staple a modern twist. Soft yellow and beige tones anchor the look in refined pastels, while a vibrant crimson adds the perfect pop of color. My personal favorite? The cable-knit hat—a fresh interpretation of the classic bucket silhouette.
Western Motif
Polo has long embodied the spirit of Americana. Inspired by the Western flair on the fall runways (and our own October cover with Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid), I gravitated toward statement pieces that felt emblematic of this sensibility. My standouts? The buckled belt and buttery leather fringe jacket—both strike the careful balance of effortless and statement. With movement and texture reigning supreme on the spring/summer 2026 runways (fringe, in particular, stole the spotlight), this jacket feels like a trend to invest in now. Meanwhile, the belt—refined and rugged—anchors any look with timeless flair. I’d wear it IRL with a sequin skirt and white tank top, for a look that can seamlessly move from day to night.
Heirloom Bag
An heirloom bag is the cornerstone of every wardrobe—a piece that reflects your daily life while celebrating timeless craftsmanship. Polo’s ID suede bag makes for such an investment: luxurious in material and understated in design. It’s elegant and practical, the kind of piece made to be carried every day and cherished for years to come.
Tailored Shirts
When outfit inspiration runs lows, getting dressed can feel like a challenge. Lately, I’ve been relying on a simple uniform: crisp shirts, well-cut jeans, and a fitted blazer—finished with ballet flats for a feminine touch. While browsing, I tried on some of Polo’s beautifully tailored shirts—flattering, refined, and endlessly versatile. They’re easily what I’d consider wardrobe essentials, perfect layered under sweaters with the collar peeking out or tied around the waist for a relaxed, polished twist.
Puffer Jacket
As the chiller days in New York set in, it’s time to welcome a few key pieces that balance function and style. For layered warmth, turn to Polo’s sleek gray turtleneck paired with a navy cable-knit sweater and down puffer. I’d complete the look with the brand’s red hooded snood—a bold pop of color that instantly adds a playful touch to your winter palette.
