As has become tradition here at Vogue Runway, on Thanksgiving we pick a color straight from the day’s feast and indulge in some good old-fashioned inspiration hunting. Although red-carpet method dressing is not as popular as it has been in recent years, holiday-themed dressing is as American as apple pie. This year, brown seems to be having a moment; the much-maligned shade offers an easy way to give your wardrobe some oomph, whether you prefer neutrals or love to boldly color-block. This time, we decided to embrace monochromatic dressing; imagine yourself sitting on your couch after getting seconds, glamorously half asleep in the silky sheen of a matching Fendi ensemble, or in a severe YSL look that says, “I will only eat carrots, but I like to dip them in gravy as a treat!”
If gravy is not your favorite Thanksgiving component, then consider taking a stroll down memory lane of Thanksgivings past: We have greens, err, green, cranberry red, and, of course, butter yellow, which ended up becoming one of the most enduring color trends in the past two years. So what are you waiting for? Enjoy your sartorial Bone Apple Tea!
